What you will really be doing
Build Aize
Contribute to shaping the culture and methodology of a growing software house.
Be an ambassador for technical excellence and enable Aizers to build sustainable software products
Manage and nurture people, taking care to build an inclusive and psychologically safe environment
Recruit new team members and coordinate their training
Allocate team members to projects, connecting company needs with their skills and wishes
Provide context (information, the why?) to your team
Use 1:1s, team meetings and Slack to keep everyone informed
Enable good performance - coaching, training, performance reviews and goal-setting
Take care of your own skills and development
Prepare and manage the engineering department’s budget
Keep your eyes and ears open for ways we can further streamline our innovation process.
How will you be doing this
- You’re a part of Aize’s Software Engineering management team, supported by our Head of Software Engineering. You bring your own unique skill set to the table and collaborate with colleagues to accomplish company goals.
- You prioritise your work as a leader, mentoring your team and contributing to product teams as a developer, scrum master or expert
- You don’t do things just because they were always done that way. You are curious and drive continuous change and improvement.
- There’s no template for what we do. Your tools will be familiar, but as an Aizer you’ll be doing lots of firsts. So, you need a coder’s brain and the heart of an explorer.

Frontend: Angular (2+), TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6+), RxJS, HTML, CSS
Backend: Java, Go, Spring Boot, Kubernetes
Microsoft Azure, SQLamp;NoSQL databases, GraphQL, GitLab
Who we think you are
- You have 5+ years of experience in software engineering
- You have some managerial experience - be it working as a line manager, tech lead, team lead, product owner, scrum master or a more informal role
- You have a degree of higher education in software engineering (or similar) and a good foundation and passion for various things software
- You aren’t afraid to be hands-on with development and helping others when they need it
- You don’t like micromanagement and your leadership style is focused on honesty, trust and open dialogue
- You enjoy forming relationships with all sorts of people, are a good communicator and problem solver
- You don’t expect routine or mature processes and are open to diving into uncertainty
- You like to nerd out about stuff - we’re a bunch of passionate people, be it about building great software products, cooking, ping-pong, board games or hiking!
