Job Description

Do you want to be a part of a growing biotech company that strives to improve the health of our planet and our people? Aker BioMarine is currently looking for a Platform Product Manager who will have an important impact on our business by taking strategic ownership of our platform products.

Do you want to join our journey?

About Aker BioMarine

Aker BioMarine is a biotech innovator and Antarctic krill-harvesting company on a mission to improve human and planetary health. We are the world’s leading supplier of krill - a natural, powerful, and health-promoting source of nutrients from Antarctica.

Aker BioMarine was established in 2006 as part of the Aker Group, building on years of deep-sea fishing experience. And now, a decade later, our business continues to grow because we take care of the ecosystem we harvest in. We won the Investment in the future award in 2012 for our work and investment in the krill industry, investing more than 550 million in building a sustainable krill harvesting pipeline in the Antarctic.

We own our entire value chain from harvesting to production and sales, and our supply chain stretches from krill harvesting in Antarctic waters through the logistics hub in Montevideo to our krill oil manufacturing facility in Houston.

About the position

As the Platform Product Manager at Aker BioMarine, you will have ownership of the core platform systems in our company, including our ERP (Jeeves), CRM (Salesforce), and Integration platform. You will:

  • Set vision, build roadmaps, prioritize, and ensure product alignment with our business strategy.
  • Work closely with users, business process owners, and functional experts to understand functional requirements for maintenance and development.
  • Plan, prioritize, and coordinate development according to Lean Portfolio Management principles.
  • Translate business objectives into clear product requirements and specifications for the developers.
  • Define, own, and implement Master Data Governance Process, as well as KPIs, and ensure technical implementation and maintenance of the master data infrastructure.
  • Facilitate good change management processes from initiative to design, and from technical implementation to follow through in operation.
  • Work with a multitude of stakeholders in offshore, supply chain, sales, and financing, and have a true impact on different areas of our business.
  • Manage our system suppliers, including contract negotiations.
  • Have responsibility for consultants brought in to perform project work.

You will be part of the Digital Transformation Team where we push to change the future, and report directly to the Director of Digital Transformation.

Who are you?

We believe you truly enjoy setting direction for products, managing stakeholders, and guiding others toward action. We also believe you have:

  • 10+ years of experience, with at least 3 years experience in product management.
  • Strong business understanding, and have collaborated closely with different business areas.
  • Experience operating in servers and databases, and are able to use data analysis tools and APIs.
  • Basic understanding of programming and have managed/collaborated with developers.
  • Experience with qualitative data (user feedback, single-use cases) and quantitative data (metrics and analytics).
  • Great collaboration skills and experienced in managing different stakeholders both internally and externally.
  • Knowledgeable about DevOps and Agile methods.

We also believe you are a person who:

  • Have the flexibility and responsibilities of a startup environment where we move fast, but with the backing and comfort of being part of something bigger in the Aker Group.
  • Amazing lunch at our offices.
  • Free membership to our gym at Fornebuporten.
