Join us as our new Legal Counsel/Legal Advisor
DOF Group Legal serves the DOF Group ASA as well as all group companies worldwide. The Legal department currently consists of more than 15 highly skilled professionals located in Bergen, Aberdeen, Perth, Houston and Rio de Janeiro.
With rapidly increasing activity levels within the renewable and energy markets globally, we are expanding our legal team with for a position as Legal Counsel/Legal Advisor within the Atlantic region.
We are seeking a motivated legal professional to join our dynamic team working within the international offshore energy and subsea projects market. As a Legal Counsel/Legal Advisor in DOF, you will play an important role in ensuring the legal integrity and success of our projects.
The Department`s main responsibility is to ensure that the company`s assets are well protected. As DOF is such a diverse company, we manage a very diverse insurance portfolio making your daily role variable and exciting. In this role you will be responsible for reviewing, qualifying, and negotiating contractual terms, conducting risk assessments, managing insurance placement for subsea projects, and coordinating external legal advisors in cooperation with the Groups Insurance department. In addition, you will provide support to supply chain teams, handle disputes, and offer timely legal advice to management and discipline leads.

Requirements
- Master of Laws from a Norwegian University
- Preferably 3-5 years' experience from the energy industry, preferably within the offshore subsea and/or the offshore wind market related to contract management or marine insurance
- Good negotiation skills combined with commercial understanding
- High integrity and value driven
- Analytical and structured, with the ability to work independently and within short deadlines
- Excellent communication skills in Norwegian and English language
- Comfortable working within an international team of professionals
