Headquartered in Bergen, Bertel O. Steen Power Solutions (BOS Power) operates in 10 locations throughout the Nordic region and is a part of the Bertel O. Steen Group in Norway. Currently, we are a team of 220 employees and have experienced massive growth over the last few years. We are close to reaching one billion NOK in revenues and have ambitious targets for the coming years.

With a strong focus on sustainability, quality, and reliability, BOS Power delivers innovative marine propulsion, energy storage, and power generation systems for a wide range of applications across the Nordic region. We help customers secure mission-critical operations for various marine segments, data centers, hospitals, power utilities, telecommunications, and industry.

We have been a distributor of mtu products from Rolls Royce Power Systems since 1969. From 2020 we became the only authorized distributor of mtu solutions throughout the Nordic countries. We have taken a clear stand in the green transition and are developing and delivering sustainable energy solutions for fast-moving vessels and energy storage. Currently, more than 25% of our order book consists of zero/low emission and energy conversion projects, and we have a clear ambition to contribute strongly to electrification, digitization, and energy conversion in the future.

Continuous growth going forward is planned through a combination of organic and structural initiatives. A few examples of companies that recently joined our group are Servogear; a Norwegian provider of propulsion solutions for high-speed maritime vessels, and Norwegian emergency power specialist; Eanor.

BOS Power has a strong corporate function located in Bergen, where leading consulting and industry professionals make up our top management. This corporate function delivers services such as Legal, Finance, IT and Business Development initiatives to our different subsidiaries, and works after a clear strategy to contribute to the green transition and achieve scalability. The Enterprise Architect will be part of this corporate environment with a clear mandate to improve and innovate our approach to IT. Together with us you will be important to leverage cutting-edge IT platforms and ensuring seamless integration of new and existing software to drive process automation.

We believe the Enterprise Architect will play a crucial role, as the first of its kind in the company, by developing a clear IT strategy and building a holistic IT architecture and portfolio of applications fit for our purpose and processes.

Technology Evaluation and Risk Management:

• Assessing new and emerging technologies to determine their relevance and potential impact on BOS Power, and recommend technology solutions that align with the enterprise architecture and business needs.
• Identifying and mitigating risks associated with our IT architecture.

Strategic Planning:

• Develop a holistic IT strategy for BOS power, supporting the business strategy and aligning with our business objectives.
• Define the IT amp; Systems department, take a stand on in- versus outsourcing, and build the department according to decisions made.

Architecture Development and Implementation:

• Develop a holistic and modern IT architecture and application portfolio to support the company strategy and scalability objectives.
• Developing and documenting architecture blueprints and standards to guide the organization.
• Project manage, monitor, and evaluate the implementation of IT solutions.
• Ensure training, guidance, and best practices for data and IT products usage in the organization.

Interoperability and continuous improvement:

• Ensuring that different IT systems and applications can work together seamlessly, and overseeing the development and implementation of integration strategies and standards.
• Be the project owner when sourcing new applications/systems for BOS Power (assess vendors, understand needs, processes, and integrations).
• Regularly reviewing and updating the enterprise architecture to adapt to changes in business strategy and technology
