Job Description

Aker Carbon Captureis a leading carbon capture technology company. 

We serve a range of carbon-emitting industries including cement, blue hydrogen, bio/waste-to-energy, and gas-to-power among others. Aker Carbon Capture is one of the leading CCUS companies globally and has extensive knowledge of the entire value chain. We have many ongoing projects, from research and innovation, including pilot plant testing, to concept studies and to large EPC projects, both in Europe and in the United States. Today, we are delivering seven carbon capture units in Europe, with an accumulated capture capacity of 1 million tonnes of CO2. In Denmark, we are delivering five Just Catch 100 units to Ørsted, in the Netherlands one Just Catch 100 unit to Twence, and in Norway a Big Catch to Heidelberg Materials.

Project Planner will establish and maintain construction plans for the execution of the work covering milestones, schedule, manpower and progress.

This is a contractor role, start from 1st Jun. 2024 with initial end date 31st Dec. 25 with possibilities for extensions.

Accountabilities

  • Develop detailed construction plans, including timelines, milestones, and critical path analysis, to ensure the efficient and timely completion of construction projects.
  • Monitor and analyse schedule progress and manpower needs and assist in analysis of cost/margin against baseline plan and current plan.

  • Identify potential risks and bottlenecks in project schedules, and proactively develop mitigation strategies to minimize delays.
  • Prepare reports for the Construction Manager and other internal/external customers including consolidated project schedule, summary updates and S-curves.
  • Execute baseline revisions.
  • Participate in preparation of Variation Order Requests, and implement accepted Variation Orders with regards to schedule, manpower and cost plans
  • Coordinate with Project Planner, Engineering Planner and ensure alignment between engineering plan and overall master schedule
  • Coordinate with Project Planner to receive required schedule information

Knowledge/Skills Required

  • Excellent verbal and written English language skills
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to influence and learn
  • Advanced knowledge of project execution methodologies
  • Analyse complex issues and problems and come up with rational judgments
  • Demonstrate specialist knowledge and expertise in own area

Qualifications/Experience Required

  • At least 5 years of experience as planner
  • Experience of working in multidisciplinary and international teams
  • Demonstrate specialist knowledge and expertise in own area
  • Preferably 3+ years experience from EPC onshore/offshore development and construction projects
  • Excellent skills in the use of Microsoft Office applications
  • Hands on experience with Primavera or MS Projects

Educational Background Required

  • Technical and/or commercial education MSc or BSc, or similar higher education
