Job Description
Join DOF as our new Regional Accounting Manager
As our Regional Accounting Manager, you will be overseeing day-to-day operations of the accounting function in the region, and supervising and liaising with the accounting responsible for each of the legal entities in the region. Reporting to the Regional Finance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in finance team in the region, supervising accounting teams across legal entities, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and country-specific regulations.
Your responsibilities will include monitoring and analyzing financial data, reviewing reports, and establishing robust accounting methods and policies. You will be the driving force behind continuous improvement initiatives, proposing and implementing changes to enhance our accounting function.
Your tasks can include, but are not limited to:
- Supervise timely booking of invoices and follow up on bank transactions
- Oversee collections, late payments, and bank reconciliations on a weekly basis
- Supervise monthly balance sheet reconciliations, tax accounting, and adjustments if needed
- Ensure regular completion of IC transaction reconciliation
- Approve payroll in bank and liaise with payroll officer/provider
- Ensure/oversee preparation of financial statements for regional entities and coordinate with auditors for audits
- Oversee/Prepare annual tax reporting for regional entities
- Maintain shareholder register for regional entities in Norway, UK, Ghana, and Angola
Requirements
- Relevant university degree within Business administration or Finance
- Minimum 5 years relevant work experience
- Professional authorization is preferred
- Experience in financial analysis and reporting
- Ability to work independently under minimum guidance and supervision
- Ability to work in high paced, dynamic environment
- Documented experience in busy accounts environment within the Subsea or Offshore environment is essential
