Location
Two is a remote-friendly company with a flexible working policy that caters to both onsite and remote teams. Our Operations team is distributed across our talent hubs in London and Oslo, therefore an ideal candidate would be based in one of these locations.
About the role
The Operations team comprises several verticals including Customer Support, Risk and Collections. We are in search of a highly motivated and detail-oriented Operations Manager primarily focused on Collections and operational excellence. This role entails overseeing day-to-day operations for timely repayments from our buyers, continuously improving internal processes to optimise our collections efforts, leveraging automation where relevant, as well as instilling operational excellence within the vertical. Effective communication and problem-solving skills are imperative, both internally within the organisation and externally with stakeholders. Strong communication, negotiation, and leadership skills, alongside a comprehensive understanding of collections laws and regulations, are essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities:
- Developing Two’s collection strategy across multiple geographical jurisdictions to ensure timely repayment from our buyers as volumes grow.
- Designing and fine-tuning policies, processes and procedures to continuously improve repayment rates.
- Leading day-to-day collection of overdue payments with the assistance of our collection agent.
- Defining KPIs and maintaining SLAs, both internally and with our partners to make sure the collections team is performing at the highest level. This includes monitoring and reporting on the performance of existing processes and taking required actions where necessary.
- Owning and delivering non-technical projects (spanning commercial and operational topics).
- Playing a key role in the wider operations team by identifying, scoping and coordinating cross-functional improvements to help Two reach its objectives.
Requirements
- Passion for developing best-in-class operations
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail - you always ensure things are running smoothly and don’t shy away from diving deep into a problem
- 4-6 years of experience with a track record of scaling and optimising processes through automation
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- At ease with Excel and ideally SQL
- Experience working in a start-up or fast-paced environment is a plus
- Experience in payments or business lending is a plus
