Accounting Manager
Everbridge, Norway

• Responsible for Accounts Payable, including overseeing the purchase order process, payment processing and vendor communication
• Support the month-end financial closing process for 5 entities in the Nordics, including posting journal entries, preparing balance sheet reconciliations, and performing fluctuation analyses
• Manage the employee expense report process
• Manage posting of customer payments and dunning campaigns
• Work closely with the corporate accounting teams to ensure well-documented, accurate and timely financial closings
• Work closely with the Norwegian Group Controller on automation projects and improving the efficiency of the Nordic Accounting function, including a project for migrating billing from an external billing system to the ERP system (Oracle Netsuite).
• As the company continues to experience rapid international growth, work as an agent of change to help lead the company through the design, implementation, and ongoing improvement of uniform accounting-related operations, processes, and procedures
• Assist in the international impact of new US-based accounting standards and regulations
• Partner with the international Financial Planning amp; Analysis team in establishing budgets, forecasts, and reporting for Nordic subsidiaries
• Coordinate with external auditors during the annual statutory audits to ensure timely and accurate filings
• Assist during the annual corporate audit with any international requests of documentation and testing
• Assist during the annual corporate SOX 404b certification process including testing, walk-throughs, and remediation of scoped-in international subsidiaries
• Evaluate and manage appropriate revenue and cost sharing arrangements between international operating subsidiaries

• Education: Accounting degree or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years of recent experience in Accounting
• Software company experience or any experience of SAAS and cloud-based companies is a plus
• Work experience for a subsidiary of a US-based parent company is a plus
• Experience in Norwegian GAAP/IFRS
• Project management skills ability to coordinate and manage multiple projects from start to finish, incorporating feedback from multiple sources
• Ability to multi-task and meet critical deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills; attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Strong analytical skills
• Outstanding oral and written communications abilities in Norwegian and English (must have)
