Responsibilities

The candidate will together with the corporate development team and senior leadership lead the identification, assessment, negotiation, and closing of Mamp;A opportunities on a global basis.

Kahoot! has ambitious growth targets and Mamp;A is expected to supplement organic growth in the years to come. The focus of this position will be to pursue Mamp;A of learning software companies globally. As our Mamp;A manager, you will manage multiple processes and opportunities simultaneously.

As an Mamp;A/transaction manager at Kahoot! you will:

• Identify Mamp;A opportunities to drive the expansion of the Kahoot! platform and lead the transaction process
• Continuously screen the global market for interesting Mamp;A candidates and discuss ideas and potential players with management; participate in initiating discussions with potential partners and candidates
• Establish negotiation strategies and run/participate in negotiations with potential Mamp;A candidates
• Manage transaction processes including legal documents, due diligence processes, negotiations, documentation, and closing.
• Ensure that relevant functions and management is appropriately involved throughout the processes
• Support the rest of the organization on the integration of acquired companies into the Kahoot! Group

Requirements

• 7+ years total relevant professional experience to include minimum 3- 4 years experience in Mamp;A activities
• Deep understanding of the software industry and preferable experience in the global learning market or adjacent industries
• University degree (bachelor, masters or similar)
• Extensive Mamp;A transaction experience
• Experience in relevant roles as legal Mamp;A advisor, management consulting, project management, strategy, corporate finance, corporate development in a technology company or similar.
• Structured and systematic individual with strong analytical abilities and problem-solving skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both digital, written and oral)
• Strategic thinker but ability to perform tactical execution and minor day-to-day tasks in a high-speed environment
• Ability to work independently as well as in teams - and connecting with all levels of the organization, also in a remote set-up
• Strong business judgment, strategic mindset, drive and can-do attitude
• Fluency in English is required
• Has relentlessly high standards, works with precision and quality
• Energized by a demanding, fast-paced environment
