Azure Data Engineer

The Azure Data Engineer is part of the Product Specialists team and will be responsible for integrating data into Cognite Data Fusion Demo Environments. Assisting the Product Specialists to build and maintain tailored demos for our Product Managers, Sales, Partners and Customer Success. The role requires interacting with internal stakeholders to identify and meet data requirements. It also requires you to design, implement solutions and work with everything from building data pipelines, automating processes and workflows.


Key measurement of success:

  • Create and maintain demos that can be used by Cognite sales and partners that explains the value of CDF and CDF applications in a good way
  • Smooth teamwork with product specialists and product managers to build outstanding demos
  • Create best practices, reference architectures and technical documentation to support others Cogniters on how to use the demos
  • Drive and manage integrations, data modeling, and analysis using Cognite data connectors, SQL, Python/Java and Rest APIs
  • Proactive, open minded and imaginative on ideas and solutions, break away from tradition
  • Cooperate well with others; share knowledge, experience and information; support others in the pursuing of the team goals
  • Make things happen and accepting responsibility for the results

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or equivalent
  • 2+ years experience as Azure Data Engineer
  • 2+ years experience with database or datastore
  • Programmings skills in Python/Java/Scala/.NET/SQL
  • Experience with different Azure resources i.e. Azure Synapse, Azure Functions, Azure DataFactory, DataBricks
