Location:

We are presently building our main talent hubs in Oslo and London with a plan to expand to key European locations over the next 12 months. If you aren't based in either London or Oslo but are keen to explore the role further, we'd love to hear from you Tillit is a remote-friendly company, with a flexible working policy accommodating onsite and remote teams, with the expectation that travel to our hubs will be required when needed.


The Role

At Tillit the credit risk analyst will define, build, lead the credit risk function, establishing credit risk management and controlling tools, developing scoring methodology and credit risk models based on state-of-the-art data science as well as latest regulations. The ideal candidate is both highly strategic and highly entrepreneurial, obsessed with driving customer success, motivated by building and shaping the future of B2B payments. Your day-to-day will involve
  • Working closely with product management to develop state-of-the-art credit solutions for our customers.
  • Partnering with Data Science and Engineering on building our risk analytics capabilities.
  • Developing the risk management and controlling tools using mathematical-statistical methods, such as the development of new or backtesting of existing scoring methods and credit risk models.
  • Supporting the new products and processes through proper credit risk assessments.
  • Developing robust lifetime valuation infrastructure and capabilities.
  • Using advanced data analytics and critical thinking to derive insights and optimise credit strategies.
  • Owning all risk initiatives within new product formation and new market exploration.
  • Monitoring portfolio as well as macroeconomic trends impacting loan performance. Drive adjustments to our underwriting and marketing strategies to mitigate risk.
  • Developing data-driven decisions to support the business’ global financial goals, monitor their impact, and adjust it according to the dynamic world we operate in.
  • Working with detailed business data to optimize performance and minimize financial loss across multiple products, global regions, and financial systems.

  • Core Tillit products provide the foundations for our deployments.
  • Golang for our back-end applications and data integration tools.
  • Python for data processing and analysis.
  • Tillit cloud infrastructure is based on Google Cloud Platform.

Requirements

  • Passion and drive to change banking, payments for the better.
  • 3-5 years of professional experience in related technical areas such as model development, model validation, data science, quant finance.
  • 3-5 years work experience as a data analyst SME (invoice financing credit risk management strongly preferred).
  • You bring significant experience in credit risk analysis based on traditional data (financial statements, management accounts, and non-traditional information (bank account data).
  • Best practice knowledge in credit risk: strong understanding of the full lifecycle from origination to debt collection participated in envisioning and building credit policies and models from scratch.
  • Deep and broad knowledge and experience in at least one of the following areas: machine learning, financial risk management, statistical modeling.
  • Extensive experience with SQL, Python, or other scripting languages.
  • BS, MS, or Ph.D. in a quantitative field such as Quantitative Finance, Math, Data Science, Computer Science preferred.
  • Oriented toward detail, curious about data/models/algorithms, skilled at critical thinking and problem-solving.
  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills.
