As a Head of Finance, you will play a key role in solving multiple priorities (growth, efficiency, quality, to name a few) and handling various stakeholders (e.g., executive team, country managers, suppliers and clients). As a company founded in and measured by data, your core focus will be to drive and monitor profitable growth through automation and data-driven insight and decision-making.
In this role, you will take ownership over all financial aspects of First Engineers as the precursor to a CFO position.
What you will be doing
- Build and organize the company's financial infrastructure
- Participate in the development of the company's plans and programs with a strategic view and use of financial data/ metrics in decision making
- Provide timely and accurate analysis of budgets, forecast, financial performance and trends in order to assist the executive team, commercial team, and boards
- Evaluate investment strategies by considering cash and liquidity risks
- Take responsibility for the company's accounting activities and act as a point of contact towards accounting partners
- Take responsibility for consolidation, reporting, and compliance in all regions in which we operate
- Support Country Managers with a financial toolbox and data
- Focus on the continuous improvement of overall operations and productivity at a company level
- Act as a contact point for contractual issues and legal matters
- Own First Engineers’ data infrastructure from both an operational and financial perspective
- Build and drive the implementation of procedures to improve financial operations such as salary payment, invoicing, and cost control
- Conduct cost controlling across business units and regions
- Identify and lead initiatives to improve the automation of financial planning and data systems
- Conduct supplier and contract reviews
Requirements
- MBA / MSC. in finance, business, or equivalent
- Previous experience as a management consultant, controller, or auditor
- Exceptional understanding of accounting, control, and cash management
- Expert knowledge of financial modeling
- Great analytical and strategic mindset with the confidence to speak up
- Business acumen and growth-focused
- Strong attention to detail and focus on quality
- Bonus point: Experience with python programming is a big plus
