We are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager (BDM) who can help us drive growth by closing new business and forging strong relationships with clients.

About the role:

As a Business Development Manager in Klaveness Digital, you will play an important role in generating new opportunities and driving growth. You will target senior decision makers at large industrial enterprises across the globe to help them optimize their seaborne supply chains.

The Business Development Managers owns prospects from first point of contact until the prospect has signed a paid proof of concept pilot. After successfully signing a pilot, the Business Development Manager transfers the ownership of the client to the Customer Success team.

To excel in this role, you should have a compelling sales personality and hunger to chase and close new business.

What success looks like to us:

  • Outstanding sales results, with high volume of new accounts
  • Healthy pipeline of leads and opportunities
  • Establish long-term customer relationships

Activities leading to success:

  • Identify and create new qualified opportunities through phone calls, email and meetings
  • Demonstrate the CargoValue platform to potential clients (primarily using videoconference)
  • Close paid pilots and develop strong relationships with prospective clients
  • Challenge customers and provide advice on the products and/or services you are selling
  • Attend trade shows, industry conferences etc. to meet potential leads (virtual and physical)
  • Manage and track your pipeline using our CRM and sales tools

This is you:

  • You have 5+ years of experience in logistics, B2B SaaS, Shipping or supply chain, either from sales, management consulting and/or shipping/logistics SaaS products
  • Experience from consultancy in the logistics, supply chain and/or shipping industries is a plus
  • You have a solid track record of sales (preferably SaaS B2B sales)
  • You are a natural relationship builder and have no problem consulting with high-level stakeholders/ executives
  • You are skilful at passing gatekeepers
  • You are self-motivated and persistent
  • Excellent English language skills
  • You have a real passion for learning new things
  • A team player who understands that sales is a team sport and, in order to build something special, we need to make each other better
  • You are located in Norway or the EU
