Klaveness Digital is a Norwegian technology company set out to bring shipping and logistics into the digital age. We develop intelligent shipping and logistics solutions directed towards some of the world's largest industrial companies sourcing raw materials by sea. Our main product is CargoValue, which helps Fortune 500 companies, to optimize and digitize their supply chain. CargoValue leverages satellite data to bridge the gap between planned and ongoing shipments and their real-time impact on inventories at ports and/or plants. This advanced level of actionable insight empowers our customers to make better informed decisions. With both increased interest and a growing customer base of CargoValue we see the need to expand our Enabling Team to meet the demand.
The development teams are organized as self-contained units, that oversee the development and delivery of different product features to production. The teams then own their respective part or domain of the application from cradle to grave and must actively maintain and operate it.
About the role:
In our current team structure, we have the specialist areas: Data platform, testing, security, release management and operations (DevOps). The purpose is that these roles enable the technical infrastructure that the developers use to maintain and develop new features and functionalities. The developers must decide and manage the technical infrastructure, but the enabling team must make it as non-frictional as possible. The main tools are education and guidelines, but also reusable libraries and infrastructure setup. The clear goal is to deliver software quickly without compromising on security and quality.
We are looking for a developer with strong focus on operational tools and services (DevOps) to join our development team. You will get the opportunity to create and develop exciting and forward-thinking solutions to enable the shipping industry to move into a digitalized future.
Your main responsibility is to contribute to our DevOps field. More concretely this means improving, managing and developing:
- Our multitenant Kubernetes cluster(s)
- Monitoring and logging strategies and systems
- Deployment processes and strategies
- Our Azure integrations and infrastructure partner relation
- Ensure consistency across code base for certain core libraries
You will work closely together with Head of security and Head of platform development. It is expected that you collect and build knowledge of your field. You will be instrumental in defining our relation to our infrastructure partner(s) and build routines that enables the team to operate our data platform and services as effortless as possible.
This may be you:
- A drive to develop your current, and learn new skills
- Good communication skills, ability to communicate with the development team as well as to the commercial team in the company
- Passion for improving and establishing development and operational processes
- Experience with centralized logging and metric based monitoring
- Experience with Kubernetes
- Experience with working with continuous delivery pipelines
- Bonus: BSc., MSc. or solid experience within the relevant field
