Klaveness Digital is a Norwegian technology company on a mission to bring shipping and logistics into the future. With their team of software engineers, data scientists, shipping, and logistics specialists in Oslo, Singapore, Manila, and São Paulo, they empower their customers to leverage their data and make better-informed decisions.
Klaveness Digital builds a SaaS platform for the biggest clients in the maritime industry to help them digitalize their processes.
About the role:
We are looking for a Frontend Developer to join Klaveness Digital's development team. You will get the opportunity to create and develop exciting and forward-thinking products to enable the shipping industry to move into a digitalized future.
You will get to work on applications built with React and Redux, as well as applications built with Elm. You will also work closely with UX and Design to transform concepts into reality with HTML and CSS.
Klaveness Digital work and act as a start-up. Therefore you will be entitled and trusted with a wide range of tasks. Developing, managing, architecting, and inventing stuff will be part of your daily routine and traditional specifications are nowhere to be found.
How we work:
The Klaveness Digital team is technology agnostic, but fancy functional versus OOP, open over the closed source, managed cloud services over ‘bare metal’, and keeps testing and security close to our heart. Klaveness Digital utilizes a range of different languages, frameworks, and tools. Microservices are mostly written in Scala by using libraries such as http4s, doobie, and cats-effects (No worries, we will teach you). All services and processes are deployed to one of the cloud-based Kubernetes clusters by the developers via GitLab pipelines.
The team process is modern. Klaveness Digital picks and chooses from the methodologies that fit problems and team size. They run sprints, stand-up, and retros, but continuously bending the format. The process may not look the same next month. The most important thing is that the process methodology is not generating a large overhead and that there is plenty of room for feedback from the team members.
