Job Description

Nixa.io is currently working with Maze to hire a Senior Full-Stack Engineer for their team.

Maze is a Series A funded startup building the future of rapid testing for modern teams. Their mission is to empower modern teams to build better user experiences by testing and learning rapidly with real users.

Building user-facing experiences is always a risk. And the riskier the decision, the more data you need to fully commit. It’s not easy, however, to validate ideas and get actionable, quantifiable user insights to make decisions confidently, especially before you have a live product or website. The founders of Maze experienced this first hand while working on their previous startup. They had a waiting list of 2,000 people willing to test their prototypeand yet no platform easily allowed them to test their product idea at scale. This is when Maze was born.

Since its beginnings in 2018, Maze has grown exponentially. They've partnered with the world's biggest design tools, including Adobe XD, Figma, InVision, Sketch, and Marvel, and power over 40,000 brands globally, including IBM, Logitech, Pipedrive, Uber, Greenpeace, and Braze.

They are currently a fully remote team, working across 21 countries and are currently looking to scale up their engineering team.

You will work on all aspects of the product, which includes:
  • Their user-research platform, with all the hindrances associated with complex data-visualization amp; analytics dashboard.
  • Their tester’s hiring platform, where you’ll work with them on building a complete marketplace from scratch.
  • Prototyping tool integrations, or you’ll be able to work directly with the development teams of Figma, Adobe, InVision, Marvel, and more.
  • Their automated reporting platform, where you'll work on a comprehensive document where the whole product team can participate.

As a part of the Maze product team, here’s what you’ll do:
  • Architect and develop highly scalable web applications.
  • Work closely with their designer and engineers to design, build, and ship new features from scratch.
  • Evaluate and improve the performance, durability, and security of applications in production.
  • Take ownership for your tasks and see features through from start to finish.
  • Help teammates improve when reviewing their work and appreciate feedback when they reciprocate.
  • Work on projects in 6-week build cycles using Shape up methodology. Shape up removes a lot of overhead in meetings, increases focused work time, and allows teams to take full autonomy over the scope of the solution.

Requirements

  • You have excellent written and spoken English skills.
  • You're a JavaScript amp; ReactJS expert.
  • You have GraphQL / NodeJS / Typescript knowledge.
  • You have experience with functional programming.
  • You're able to write maintainable and scalable code.
  • You're a thorough tester amp; always strive to improve your work environment.
  • You enjoy working remotely.

Bonus points:
  • You're interested in UX amp; UI design.
  • You have experience with AWS amp; AWS Services.
  • You have experience in data-visualization.
  • You have experience with deployment automation tools.
  • You have a good dose of initiative, as well as a great sense of humor.
