- Develop media relations strategy, seeking high-level placements in print, broadcast and online media
- Coordinate all public relations activities globally and coordinate with other Aker companies when applicable
- Leverage existing media relationships and cultivate new contacts within business and industry media
- Manage media inquiries and interview requests
- Create content for press releases, byline articles and keynote presentations
- Monitor, analyse and communicate PR results
- Evaluate opportunities for partnerships, sponsorships on an on-going basis.
- Build relationships with thought leaders globally to grow industry and company awareness
- Possess a strategic approach to problem solving
- Work closely with the executive management team to ensure consistent communications internally and externally
Requirements
- Proven working experience in public relations required
- Exceptional English skills is required
- Relationships with both local and national business and industry media outlets is a plus
- Exceptional writing and editing skills
- BA/MA degree in Journalism, Marketing, Communications or a related discipline
