Job Description

Responsibilities
  • Develop media relations strategy, seeking high-level placements in print, broadcast and online media
  • Coordinate all public relations activities globally and coordinate with other Aker companies when applicable
  • Leverage existing media relationships and cultivate new contacts within business and industry media
  • Manage media inquiries and interview requests
  • Create content for press releases, byline articles and keynote presentations
  • Monitor, analyse and communicate PR results
  • Evaluate opportunities for partnerships, sponsorships on an on-going basis.
  • Build relationships with thought leaders globally to grow industry and company awareness
  • Possess a strategic approach to problem solving
  • Work closely with the executive management team to ensure consistent communications internally and externally

Requirements

  • Proven working experience in public relations required
  • Exceptional English skills is required
  • Relationships with both local and national business and industry media outlets is a plus
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills
  • BA/MA degree in Journalism, Marketing, Communications or a related discipline
