Tillit's software helps to increase sales conversion, gets Merchants paid quickly, reliably, and with no credit risk, and frees up cash so they can concentrate on what they do best-providing their customers with world-class goods and services.

Location:

We are presently building our main talent hubs in Oslo and London with a plan to expand to key European locations over the next 12 months. If you aren't based in either London or Oslo but are keen to explore the role further, we'd love to hear from you Tillit is a remote-friendly company, with a flexible working policy accommodating onsite and remote teams, with the expectation that travel to our hubs will be required when needed.

About the role:

We’re an early-stage startup and you’ll have the opportunity to set the trajectory of our products and help us build world-class user experiences across all of Tillit's customer and merchant-facing products from our Dashboards, Checkout, Documentation, and Website.

You're Tillit's Frontend Software Engineer, responsible for developing and guiding our product, implementing the visual elements that our users interact with, and managing the tech stack for our customer-facing offering.

  • You'll drive the product lifecycle, from idea generation, design, and prototyping to execution, and shipping.
  • You'll collaborate closely with technical and non-technical counterparts to understand our customers' problems and build products that solve them.
  • You'll obsess over creating delightful user experiences.

Your day-to-day will involve:

  • Coordinating across teams; work with the backend- and product teams to call out risks, ambiguity, gaps, and help scoping the project.
  • Obsessing over code quality bring improvements to product quality, security, and performance that will benefit our users and your team.
  • Experimenting, writing quick POC's, testing out your own hypothesis, or help others test theirs.
  • Leading and mentoring the frontend team by example - write clean code, make complex problems/interactions simple, improve the component library, and partake in code reviews.
  • Enabling users to interact smoothly with data. For example to display orders in a custom map view, click to zoom in on a region, and let the user play with filters and parameters in a data table.
  • Helping your teammates learn more by applying and assessing analytics.

  • Python and Golang for our back-end applications and data integration tools.

  • Svelte and Flutter.js

Requirements

  • Prior experience developing non-trivial apps. Our front-end is written in Svelte, and you’ll need a solid JavaScript foundation and experience in other JS frameworks.
  • You have strong CSS skills and familiarity with things like design systems and component libraries.
  • You have been part of a Javascript project that rapidly grew from simple to feature-rich.
  • Skill and comfort working in a rapidly changing environment with dynamic objectives and iteration with users.
  • Demonstrated ability to continuously learn, work independently, and make decisions with minimal supervision.
  • Write fast and clean code and make beautiful data visualizations

    Nice to have:

    • Experience with Svelte.js.
    • Understanding of API design and backend programming. Familiarity with data structures, storage systems, cloud infrastructure, front-end frameworks, and other technical tools.
    • Prior experience or interest in app development in general or Flutter in particular.
