THE MISSION
Reporting to the Head of Department, you will:
- Lead a team of engineers in a tight timeline and work across teams on the Launch Pad functional design, incl.
- Process design (Fluids, Electrical systems, communication and control networks)
- CAD, technical drawings
- Procurement
- Build-up
- Safety documentation and certification according to legal requirements
- Commissioning
- Follow requirements given by launch vehicle design team
- Interface with Civil Engineering subcontractor and the contracting authority Andøya Space Center
- Contribute to the hiring and training process of the Ground Operations Team for said Launch Pad
- Assist the Launch Base Project Owner:
- Defining Launch Pad milestones and timeline
- Supporting documentation for launch system acceptance
Requirements
WHO YOU ARE AND WHAT YOU HAVE
Musts:
- A degree in mechanical, civil or space engineering or an equivalent qualification
- The candidate has know-how and at least 2 years of work experience in:
- Systems engineering
- Project Management
- Test Operations
- Construction Projects
- Excellent work ethic and communication skills in English language
- Extremely fast grasp of technical problems and sound trade-offs for design solutions
- Reliable coordinator between stakeholders and engineers
- Passionate about new space, curious and eager to learn
- Driven to deliver and constantly push the boundaries
- Take ownership and accountability for your own actions and mistakes
- Humble and willing to go out of your way to help others
- Can-do attitude and outstanding communication skills
Nice-to-haves:
- Prior hands-on mechanical and/or electrical Design amp; Test experience
- Prior hands-on experience with cryogenic and high-pressure gas systems
- Work experience in the petrochemical industry
- Experience using Computer Aided Design (CAD) software
- Good Norwegian language skills
- Experience in the space sector
WHAT TO EXPECT FROM THE SELECTION PROCESS:
