Job Description

This is CoreMarine

The new breed of ocean engineers

CoreMarine is a digital-first construction partner delivering digital technology amp; projects to the biggest sectors in the ocean economy.

We make our oceans less complex by applying digital technology to technical problems.

At CoreMarine we take our engineering seriously, but not ourselves. It is a supportive, but also fun, challenging and dynamic atmosphere where everyone is pushed to greater things.

We continuously work in the new ocean industries: whether it is delivering clean offshore energy or elegant digital solutions, our sweet spot is where our expertise can optimise and deliver efficient solutions to the new ocean industries.

On the back of early commercial success and a strong backlog of digital projects, we are expanding our capacity for offshore wind technical project development and seeking new CoreMariners with experience in the early development phases of OW projects.

What Will You Do

You will be joining an experienced team already executing fixed and floating wind projects globally.

Together with our Renewables Director and Development Manager you will execute and deliver projects and studies for a diverse range of projects.

Some of the responsibilities you can expect in this role:

  • Engineering amp; technical studies through the development and pre-license phase of offshore wind projects.
  • Optimising wind farm layouts, conceptual designs, and installation plans based on available data.
  • Coordinating, managing and implementing input from technical specialists in relation to wind park design (i.e. grid, electro, Geotech, wind/metocean)
  • Analysing amp; optimising wind farm scenarios by combining WTGs, foundation concepts, positioning of substations, turbines, and cables.
  • Developing strategies for project execution in terms of local content strategies and strategic relations with key suppliers.
  • Executing specific technical studies as a part of larger projects

Requirements

Who Are You

You don’t like the same old and are pushing for a new chapter in your career. You want ownership in the work you do and appreciate the support of your fellow colleagues. Our values resonate well with you.

Offshore wind is where you play and play well. It’s the future of energy and you know that.

Your background might have been in other offshore industries, but you have had at least 2 years’ experience with offshore wind farm development. You have been involved in the early-phase development and engineering of offshore wind projects. You’ve tackled layout optimisation, Tamp;I, site investigations, Oamp;M planning or resource assessments.

On top of this, we would also expect some of the following qualifications:

  • Degree in Engineering, Energy or equivalent.
  • 2+ years relevant experience in the Offshore Wind industry
  • Experience within wind farm development or siting.
  • Global mindset, cultural awareness, and ability to thrive in multinational teams with clients in any part of the world
  • Leasing and consenting processes associated with offshore wind farms.
  • Wind farm site characterisation and data requirements for design
  • Knowledge of wind farm construction methods, timescales, and Oamp;M
  • Offshore wind farm standards and best practice, with particular focus on early-stage project definition and optimisation
  • Based out of Stavanger, Madrid, Hobart or Melbourne.

Brownie points if you have any of the following:

  • Experience with WindPro or similar software
  • An understanding of digital products and their application
  • 5+ years industrial experience

Not matching all of the above? Don’t worry! We’d love to hear from you anyway, as a great team fit is very important to us.

Benefits

What do We Offer

Our Scandinavian roots influence our company culture: CoreMariners enjoy a high degree of trust, fun and meaningful work, autonomy and work-life balance. We move fast, we think differently, and we learn from and support each other.

We’re all about digital-first development support, which means we use our in-house CoreDigital suite to plan, optimize and execute the CoreConstruct part: our engineering design, development support and installation operations.

Just quietly, some of our crew have literally written the book in their respective field. If you’re a senior you’ll be challenged, while up-and-comers will learn from, and be supported by, world’s best ocean engineers.

With offices in Stavanger, Madrid and Hobart, we’re a flexible team that takes our work seriously but never ourselves.
